PC Motherboard Cleaning –  Solution to Fix Board Related Problems

The motherboard is the main part of the computer, whether it be desktop or laptop. And the PC's performance completely depends on it. Now follow the step-by-step process to clean desktop motherboards:

Step 1: Turn off the PC: The first and foremost thing to clear the motherboard is to shut down your system completely. Once you turn off the PC, the next task is to unplug the entire power source from the desktop PC.


Step 2: Remove the case and separate the PC: Now using a screwdriver, remove the case from the back side of the processor. Remove the motherboard from there and then place it on a flat clean surface. It's best to put it on a clean cloth. If you find it a lot of dirt, you can also use vacuum first.


Step 3: Clear: Now the cleaning work begins! First of all, go for a basic cleaning. Use compressed air to remove dust and dirt from the motherboard. You can also use a vacuum attachment to get rid of stubborn dust. But if you are using a vacuum attachment, make sure to keep them a few inches away for the best results. Use makeup brushes and compressed air cans for best cleaning results.


Step 4: Deep clean (Only try when your motherboard is defective or dead): If you feel that the original mother is not enough to clean your motherboard, clean deep. It requires you to use 99% of isopropyl alcohol. If the motherboard is filled with sticky substances and sanders, then cleaning with alcohol is the best solution for that. Take 1 L bottle of Isopropyl alcohol 99% in a small container, and then slowly insert the motherboard to make proper alcohol bath (slowly move it slowly when dipped). Stubborn and sticky particles will eventually leave the motherboard to leave as a new one.


Step 5: Collect back: Once the cleaning process is complete, after drying alcohol, allow the motherboard to dry completely. This step is highly needed to prevent any further damage. Anyway, the liquor will dry easily because it is evaporated. Now, restore the motherboard to the appropriate area and correctly attach the case to the screwdriver. Power the unit again and turn it on to check whether it is working or not.
