Have you forgotten the password or the pattern code for your OPPO smartphone? Here's how to fix it.

It can be annoying to lose or forget your password, but this is not the end of the world. Try these solutions to bypass the lock screen and go back to your phone without losing your data.

Unlock OPPO phone with a fingerprint

If you have forgotten your lock screen password or phone pattern, then you may be able to unlock your phone and reset the passcode using your unique fingerprint.

Important: For this to work, you need to add at least one fingerprint to your OPPO smartphone. You must also have enabled fingerprint unlock. If your fingerprint is not stored on your phone, try one of the other methods below.
Here's how to reset the lock screen password on OPPO using your fingerprint:

1. Try entering your passcode five times in a row until you receive a 30-second countdown. Now restart your phone.

To restart your OPPO phone, hold down the Power + Volume Up button for at least 5 seconds. When you see the logo of OPPO you will know that it is working.

2. When the phone is turned on again, you will be asked to enter your passcode again, but you will also have the option to pass a Use fingerprint to Reset Passcode. Select this option.

3. Use your fingerprint to unlock the phone. Now you can set a new passcode.

Reset password with fingerprint

Now that you have unlocked your phone, you should set a new lock screen password to ensure that you are not locked again.

1. Go to Settings and choose Fingerprint, Face, and Passcode.

2. Enter the wrong password 5 times in the row. You will be asked to wait 30 seconds.

3. At the end of time, you will see a new option: Tap to reset the passcode. Tap it.

4. Use your fingerprint to confirm your identity.

5. Enter your new passcode. You will be asked to confirm the passcode again to ensure that you have entered it correctly.

Now your new lock screen password will be stored on your OPPO smartphone.

More ways to unlock your phone

If your phone does not have your fingerprint save or the above method does not work, you can try these alternative ways to bypass the lock screen and unlock your phone.

Unlock oppo  with Email Address

Important: This method is only available for older phones running the older version of Android prior to Lollipop (Android 5.0). This will not work for new phones or more recent operating systems.
If your smartphone uses older versions of Android like KitKat or Jellybean, then you may be able to reset your password using your email address.

To do this, you must be connected to the Internet and your locked phone must be registered with your email address. Here's how to reset your passcode using email:

1. Try entering your passcode 5 times in the row until you see the option: Forgot Password Option Tap it.

2. Enter your email address and password and sign in.

3. Now you will have the option of deactivating or changing your passcode.
