Flashing guide for fastboot updates of MI A2
Step 1Download MI flash tools
Step 2
Download fastboot rom and unlock the bootloader
Step 3
Turn off the device. Press Volume-Key and Power button at the same time to enter Fastboot mode. Then connect the device to a Windows PC / Laptop through a USB Type-C cable.
Step 4
Decompress the downloaded ROM file and open the file folder for the decompressed ROM pack, then copy its path to the computer.
Step 5
The Decompress Mi Flash Tool has been downloaded in step 1, and double-click to install it (if there is a security warning, choose 'Run') After the installation is complete, open MiFlash.exe and copy it to the final step Paste the ROM file into the address bar of the folder path.
To refresh, click on the first button, and MiFlash should automatically identify the device. Then click on the second button to flash the ROM file in the device.
Note: Select all before flashing.
Clear all: All data and user configurations will be cleaned, and after the flashing device lock status is 'unlocked'.
Step 6
Wait till the progress bar inside the MiFlash is completely defeated, which means that Rome has successfully established. Your device should then boot up to the new version automatically. Please wait completely until the flashing process is fully completed.
