How it occurs

It generally occurs losing and damage of SATA or  PATA Cable and maybe disconnect of the cable from harddisk. the other reason is disarrangement of BIOS of computer means the "first boot" is not set in bios of the computer

How to FIX this problem

• Restart the computer. BOOTMGR error can be temporary. Check your optical drive, USB port and floppy drive for media. If your PC is trying to boot on a non-bootable disk, external drive or floppy disk, then often "BOOTMGR is missing" error will appear.

Note: If you find that this is the cause of your issue and it is happening regularly, then you may consider changing the boot order in the BIOS, so the hard drive is listed as the first boot device.
